Charlotte once auditioned for Deal or No Deal and came away convinced she was “the most boring person in the room.”

Her evidence? She kept talking about faith, family, fishing, and cooking.

We respectfully disagree with her assessment.

Charlotte has been part of Gurney’s since she and Bill opened the doors in 1985. With a background in accounting and business, she became the steady force behind the scenes while the little family repair shop grew into what Gurney’s is today.

She may be retired from day-to-day operations now, but “retired” is apparently a flexible term. Charlotte still finds ways to offer advice, improve processes, support training, troubleshoot business and IT challenges, and encourage the team.

Outside of Gurney’s, her greatest passion is teaching women the truths of Scripture and helping them grow in their relationship with Christ. Add family, church, fishing, cooking, and serving others, and Charlotte is perfectly happy.

So maybe she didn’t have the wildest Deal or No Deal audition story.

But helping build a business, a family, and a life centered around serving other people?

We’ll take that over a game-show suitcase any day.
