Bill G., owner and founder of Gurney’s Automotive Repair, knew from an early age his calling was “under the hood.” Many childhood photos and memories involve Bill and cars… from playing with them as a child to restoring and repairing them as an adult.
His training reaches back over 30 years, and he continues to educate himself through certifications, seminars, ACDelco training classes, and ATI management classes. Bill’s level of honesty and integrity is pervasive in everything he does personally and professionally. He refers to himself as a “sinner who has been saved by grace” and knows that his deep faith is what centers, drives, and guides him through life. Carrying these humble beliefs into the workplace is why you will find many lifelong customers at Gurney’s. “The best part of owning the shop is the people… the people I work with and the customers I work for,” Bill says. “We fix their cars… but way more than that. We have relationships that last a lifetime. I know it sounds corny, but I like being a part of their lives, their families, and watching the kids grow up. Going through challenging times with them, they have been there for me and I hope I have been there for them.”
